Okay, it's been a couple weeks.  It (puresleep.com) will actually do the trick if his mouth stays with it and it's not completely out on the bed next to him.  :-)

But he's learning and trying and for the most part the sound level, given 1 is lowest and 10 highest, has gone down to 3 sometimes 4, peppered in with "it's an earthquake" now and again.  So really not that bad.  It's a whole lot better than it was, that's for sure!
