Stomach aches after long distance running

As I'm training for half marathon, I'm running high volume runs at least once a week. Usually, about a couple of hours after the the run, I'm experiencing the worst stomach ache. It passes away a few hours later, but still bothers. Is anyone else experienced this phenomenon too?

Try avoiding lactose products at least 24h before the run. You may have low lactose tolerance.

I run long distances and never felt like you describe , but I found some sites mentioning the same problems:

The best would be to consult a medical sport specialist.

Maybe you do not drink enough?

see : Actually stop and have a whole cup of water. It won't kill your time, and you might even feel revitalized. Bring some energy food like a "Gu" packet (or whatever light, high energy food you can eat that won't give you a stomach ache). Eat that at around 9 miles.

Take water with it, or you'll risk a stomach cramp.

Yepp, I'd bet on lactose too. Personally had the same problem. I know exactly what you're talking about. I got rid of those bothering stomach aches by avoiding any dairy product on the 24h before the run, like Liaty said. Hopefully this helps.
