What kind of card was stolen?  In which country or state did you obtain the card; and where was it stolen?  This information might help us to give you a better answer.

Credit card?  If so, you need to call the company (wachovia, bank of america, etc.) and cancel your card, to be sure that whoever has it isn't able to use it.  Then, they will send you a new card.  It's actually not the worst thing.  It's much worse to lose cash.
