Sticky Red oak floor

I have a recently installed red oak floor.  Of the 800 square feet installed, 4 boards, each about 3 feet long, remain sticky, and have a raised feel after 7 days.

The boards are darker, and seem more dense than many others but similar boards did dry beautifully.  The contractor has been in the business for 25 years, was highly recommended and otherwise did a teriffic job.  It's beautiful!

I did read that excessive tannin sometimes causes the problem and that the only solution is to remove the boards and start over.

Come on! We can send a man to the moon, surely we can get 4 boards to dry properly.

Can anyone Help?!
