Steering control arms/springs shot

I took my VW Passat to have the oil hanged and tires rotated, before Ileft, the mechanic claims that both springs are broke and the control arms on the steering are very loose. Where do I get this repaired and approximately how much is this going to cost? Should I trade the car?

You need to get some more opinions on that mess you were told.Go to a body shop and ask for an estimate or an alignment shop and have them check it out,because personally I dont buy what they are trying to sell you.Good Luck!
