Mechanics replace "parts" till it's fixed, ASE Technicians replace the part that fixes the problem!

You don't have to replace the steering column, but it takes some very special tools and good experance to remove the steering wheel and several other componants to get access to the 4 male torque head bolts that secure the piviot assembly to the column that seem to always come loose. You will have to take it to a good repair shop or dealer to get it repaired before you start breaking things in the column.

yes, they sell a kit,or you can just tighten up the screws ,there is 3,they are located under the wheel.you need to remove the steering wheel. buy a chiltons repair manuel, about 20.00 they make one just for the chevy G20 van,it will give you all the answers you need

I think the steering is not the problem, First there is a screw up in your steering box if its all the way up they you can adjust it .If that doesn't work check your

steering parts for wear ,check your Idle arm and the pitmam arm for tear and wear.

i will be glad to help any one with there automotive questions that they may have. just ask

You dont have to replace whole steering column if you know how to do it you can remove steering wheel and all turn signal switches etc. And tighten the 3 bolts that hold column together.

they can be easly repaired and at very litte cost and or for no cost at all. sounds to me like the 4 little torx head bolts inside the colum has just worked themselfs lose. don't just tighten them remove them one at a time and put loc-tite on the treads .easy money!

Yes , it can be repair with the right knowledge and tools but either way its a pretty good days work...
