if i have a slant 6 engine on an engine stand and I wire it to start it, how do i wire the starter to disengage from the flywheel after it cranks
Fear not cause not ain't nuthin to fear nohow!
I would think that if you had the engine stand properly grounded the bendix would retract the starter gear automatically. I wouldn't swear to it but it does seem logical. Hope that helps.

when u let go of the switch the starter disengages automatically.
The strter will disengage when the engine starts and power is broken to the starter selioid . Do not attempt to start this engine stand!
