My dear, your doctor and your doctor only, is the one who can answer that question for you. Depending on the type of infection, the location, the severity, all of these things can only be answered by the surgeon who did the surgery. You will have to wait until all of the previous infection is completely erradicated and your immune system is built back up to prevent further infection. However long that may take, is anybody's guess.
