after going through six weeks of setting up an aquarium i would suggest taking it very slowly. start with only a couple fish and give your aquarium a chance to cycle. do not add chemicals except to take the chlorine out of your tap water. if your aquarium becomes cloudy do not add chemicals to clarify the water. trust me this will cause problems. patience patience patience. find someone at the local pet store i have found very knowledgeble people at both petsmart and petco. find someone you trust and listen to them i am learning the hard way. do not rush this
