My 1994 BMW 740 IL is not starting now that I had problems with my key not working in my locks and having popalock come and try to open the car what can I do to get the car started? It will turn over but not start does anyone have any ideas?
It is possible that the transponder in the key has been upset by tampering with the locks. It is part of the immobilizing system. When tampering is detected the key is rendered useless. I suspect that only an expert thief or a BMW service centre will now be able to get the car to start.
