I think the best thing you can do now then is to advertise everywhere you can. Leave information at local vets, animal hospitals, pet stores (like Petco and Petsmart). I would also think you could post information online on free websites like craigslist.org. You might also want to start a yahoo group online to spread the word as well as call your local newspapers and magazines as well as national newspapers and magazines to see if they will feature your not-for-profit organization.
