I would like to start a dog walk for canine cancer awareness. We are a non profit organization that helps people afford treatment for their pups so they can continue to live with cancer......I would love to start a walk and have it go in several States at one time. There are people all over the world that I am in touch that have pups living with cancer and those who's pups are in heaven....

I would think the first thing you need to do is register your non-profit as an organization. I would suggest contacting PETA to see if they can give you some guidance on how to go about doing this. Good luck. I support your cause!
we are registered as a 501(3)(c) already...
I think the best thing you can do now then is to advertise everywhere you can. Leave information at local vets, animal hospitals, pet stores (like Petco and Petsmart). I would also think you could post information online on free websites like craigslist.org. You might also want to start a yahoo group online to spread the word as well as call your local newspapers and magazines as well as national newspapers and magazines to see if they will feature your not-for-profit organization.
