Last Friday (11/16/07) the manager of the 99 cent store (which is located in the neighborhood where my friend Stacy works) told Stacy the guy who supplies the jewelry will be at his store on Saturday (11/1707). So when Stacy came home she told her mom that Saturday (11/1707) she was going to go to the 99 cent store. Then again on Saturday (11/1707). she told her mom that she is going there and during the course of the conversation her mom said the following (at different times):(a) So come with me to where I am going instead of going there (b) You can check out the jewelry on Monday. But when Stacy said to her: What happens if I did not work in the neighborhood where the 99 cent store is and I wanted to go to the 99 cent store her mom replied that is different but you work there so you can go any time. However, Stacy didn't tell her mom the following: that if Stacy did not go on Saturday Stacy would miss all the new things the supplier was putting on the wall because other customers would come in and buy before Stacy had the chance to see it. (Stacy did go to the 99 cent store). Stacy called me last Sunday and told me the conversation and asked me if I thought that her mother was discouraging her from going to the 99 cent store when she wasn’t working. I told her no that isn’t what she saying. I told her that all her mother said was Stacy you can go any time you want but it is easier for you to go during your lunch hour but if you did not work in that neighborhood then you would go on the weekend. MY QUESTION: Is Stacy making a mountain out of a mole hill; and (2) do you agree/concur with what I told Stacy?
