St. Patrick's Day celebrations

Here in Germany we have a fairly large colorful parade in Munich.  Munich has the  largest Irish community in Germany . The parade consists of various Scottish and Irish associations ,dancing and the Blessing of the Shamrock  from the priest.

Hiya, Im from Ireland myself, mostly people just dress up in as much green as possible & get as drunk as possible! We have the main parade in the city centre & then nearly every other village will have their own little parade. I love it the atmosphere is always great!

Yep, I'm from Northern Ireland and it's pretty much go into the centre of Belfast and get drunk all day. The trick is to get started early because if you don't then all the other drunk people are very loud and annoying, whereas if you are as pissed as everyone else then everyone's your best friend.

It's also notable for being the first day of the year where you are likely to be asleep before it gets dark again (maybe 6.30-7pm in March).
