Actually, chess is correct.
Although grandmasters seem to be getting younger and younger, the current world champion(s) are comparitvely ancient and in their 30s.
Besides, one can be successful without necessarily being world champion.
Viktor Korchnoi is still winning open tournaments in his 70s.
In 1983, Smyslov got all the way to the semi-finals of the World Championship at the remarkable age of 62. It took Kasparov to beat him.
So "Of course not chess!!!" appears to be a little wide of the mark.
