Who is the saint for sports? I know St. Christopher is, but I thought St. Sebastian was one as well?

250 thumbs up

Not only do I not know what's going on, I wouldn't know what to do about it if I did.

There is really no "Official Patron Saint of Sports". They vary for different kinds of sports. The most widely accepted Patron Saint for most sports is St. Christopher. St. Andrew is considered the Patron Saint of Fishermen/Fishing. St. Ann is Patron Saint for Horse-Back Riding. St. Brendon is Patron Saint for Sailing and Boating. There are also a few other sports that have an accepted Patron Saint other than St. Christopher.

Thank you. I read somewhere that St. Sebastian was a saint of sports and I have no idea who he is.  I was just curious because my daughters play sports. Thanks for taking the time to reply :)
