Spiking a watermelon~need quick advice asap!

im about to spike a watermelon. i would like to know what is the best method... ie, sticking the bottle in the rind and letting slowly drain into the melon. or using a funnel. or using a turkey injector. also i need to know how long does it need to sit (overnight or should i add the alcohol in the morning before we eat it later in that afternoon?
