Special recommendations for things to do with young kids at DisneyWorld?

I am going to Disney World next summer! This will be my second time there but the first time with kids.  Any suggestions for hotels or specific activities for families with kids from 4-8 years old.

Hi, Though I've been numerous times to Disneyland in California, I've yet to make it to Disney World.  My boss, however, has gone twice & his family's trip itinerary is filled with lots of tips & info.

I made it into an Editor's Choice trip (Disney World in 5 days - Great Family Vacation) because they hit all the major spots like Magic Kingdom, Epcot, MGM, Future World & more. Their trip itinerary even includes the Downtown Disney Marketplace where you don't have to pay an entry fee & is a great stop for your last day.

They stayed at the Walt Disney World Dolphin but if that's too steep for your budget, just save the trip as your own, & add one to your liking.

I can feel your excitement! Have a great time!

Be sure to take pictures with all the Disney characters....bring your own camera with lots of film.  Try and create a collection of pics that include each of the characters from your kids fav movies.  Like each of the

seven dwarfs from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

I recommend staying at any of the deluxe resorts becasue they offer more activities for the young ones. For example at the Contemerary Resort, they have music and arts and crafts at the pool as well as a character meal in the Tower called Chef Mickey. You wont Be disappointed with that choice.

Out of the four parks I recommend the Magic Kingdom because they have many attractions for kids to enjoy. Some rides in Fantasyland your kids would enjoy are Its a Small World, Peter Pans Flight, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Snow Whites Scary Adventures, Cinderellas Caroussel, The Tea Cups, and The many adventures of Winnie the Pooh. S far as other theme lands, they might enjoy Mickeys Toontown Fair, which is a town to meet Mickey and the gang. You can even go inside of some of there homes. If You have a boy he would enjoy Buzzlight year Space Ranger Spin. If your kids are dare devils take a stroll over to the Mountains, that include Space Mountain__ Tommorland, Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain__Frontierland. If you and your kids want a chance to see many of the disney characters I recommend the Disney Dreams Come True Parade which starts at 3:00pm every day. They might even enjoy Spectro Magic, another parade at 9:00pm. Even though Ive given you alot of information  dont miss the other parks they still have a couple of rides for the young ones, like Voyage of the Little Mermaid and Playhouse Disney:Hollywood Studios, Nemo:Epcot, and Kilamonjaros Safaris:Animal Kingdom

I suggest It's A Small World. Didn't get to see it during my last visit coz it was bein renovated but I hear it's great. Try it!
