How fast is star trek warp speed in light years , and how fast are the spaceships in star wars.
I also didn't know the answer to this question, but I did some searching, mostly through wikipedia, and it seems the warp speeds in the first series were of inconsistent speeds and so a Cochrane or Chi factor was made up, which was something you'd factor in the equation to represent the density of mass in the area. However, from The Next Generation on, they apparently used the graph I linked to below. On the left you'll see lightyears and on the bottom you'll see the warp speeds. That should help for Star Trek at least.
