I'm your friend until you prove otherwise.

Southern Baptists are definitely fundamentalists.  But don't confuse that with Islamic fundamentalists.  The islamic god, Allah, is definitely NOT the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob despite their claims to the contrary.

Southern Baptists are solid citrizens, they do some of the finest community service projects that you will ever see, they give from the heart, they live clean, and they keep their word.

That is a lot better than I can say about a lot of people I know.  I have Mormon friends, Baptist friends, Black friends, and Vietnamese friends -- you can't have too many friends.

But I can't say that the opposition ever made friends with anyone.  I don't fear atheists.  Instead, I pity them.  Look at the kindness and dignity that they throw away, just because they feel like they must persecute Christians the way Nero and Caligula did.

I guess the weirdest thing about atheists is that they think that everyone is afraid of them.  Why, then, do these creeps wither in the presence of Christians, who only want to be on good terms with them?

Whether they be or not, we cannot look to the epistles to evaluate how to be saved as many denominations do. The Epistles were written to those who have already been saved to instruct them in their religion and how to live a Godly life. We must look to the Gospels to what Jesus taught and to the book of Acts to see how the apostles enacted the teachings of Jesus and follow the Apostolic way.  Not the way of man made religions that teach that God is revealed in three seperate persons(a doctrine that was not formed in it's present state until 325ad and after) but that teach the fundemental doctrine of the whole Bible, that is God is ONE! (Duet 6:4). Please look into books written by David K. Bernard, namley "The Oneness of God" and "Essentials of Oneness Theology", you may do well to read "A History of Christian Doctrine Volume 1" in order to refute any claims contrary to what is taught in the Bible. That God is indivisibly one and that He was manifest in the flesh(1st Tim 3:16) revealed to us as the Father in the Creation, Son in manifestation and as Holy Spirit in action.

Without these basic truths, any denomination is building their foundation on sinking sand. When asked what the greatest comandment is Jesus said "hear oh Isreal, the LORD our God is ONE LORD." If we profess to follow Jesus(his name means Jehovah is Salvation or Jehovah Savior) then we must follow his teachings and the teachings of those who were taught by Him personally themselves and were sent to enact the teachings of Jesus. Hope this blesses you. You may obtain any work by David K. Bernard by contacting his church in Austin, Tx. He is one of the foremost authorities in the areas of Apostolic Apologetics and Church History. Hope this helps, may God lead and guide you into all truth, in Jesus name, amen.
