When was the first time you saw "The Sound of Music"?
Which of the kids did you like the most?
I think they kind of grew on me gradually, but I think eventually it was Marta. I was flattered that she was supposed to be the really perceptive one.
I remember seeing Sound of Music way before I was old enough to understand what was going on at all. This was my mom's favorite movie, and I remember seeing it maybe 4 times before I even understood that it was taking place during the Holocaust. I think I always liked the main teenage girl, the one that is in love and sings the song, "I am 16 going on 17..."

Let's see right after I floated down the Nile with Cleopatra we stopped at the first walk in theater and watched The Sound OF Music!! Good grief, it must have been 1967 or 1968 when I saw it the first time. I really did see it in a walk in theater and it was wonderful then and it still is wonderful every time I see it on television. I even have the original soundtrack on 33. I think my favorite girl was the youngest one. Was that Marta? She was so cute. The older girl was wonderful too as was the oldest boy. I can't remember all of their names. Christopher Plummer was great in the movie! So was Juile Andrews of course.
The Sound of Music is one of my favorite all time movies. Thanks for the memories.
