My eldest did not sleep through the night until after he was 2!

I tried putting him in his crib and letting him cry it out - once. Once was all it took, because some unknown neighbor (IN ANOTHER APARTMENT BUILDING!) called the police on me. After that, I was afraid to try it again; so I just took him into bed with me and nursed him while we both fell back asleep.

I feel your frustration. I feel your exhaustion. I have been there.

Try www.breastfeeding.com; it's a site by moms and for moms and I'll bet you might find this topic addressed on their 'Forum' page.

Good luck!

Your son may not be comfortable with his outfit. Sweats at during sleep would occur especially if he is wearing a thick and not breathable clothing. Why don't you give him a baby sleep sack that would fit nicely on him. Sleep sacks are wearable which provides a comfortable feeling due to its breathable and sleeveless design. Also, I advice you not to feed him excessively before sleep because it could be unhealthy. Water or milk is should be fed moderately.

Hi, our baby also struggled to sleep at night. we found that we needed to have noise in the background to help her get to sleep - i think in the daytime there is often a lot of noise but at night it was just too quiet for her. The Einschlafwunder recordings were totally a godsend for us as we could download them use them anywhere. Having the routine with the music really helped. She would sleep with just the recording of a hairdryer but after it worked we switched to heartbeats with wavesI & heartbeats with rain as it was actually really soothing for us too... we would hear it over the baby monitor and it helped us to sleep too! Hope this helps.
