Solar power? wind generator? What to do?

Dear Mr.Eric, Do you know if it is better to install a four foot long rige vent on the roof or the ten foot long ones? Also, what about the electric fan models that would use more electricity. One more question please, I would like to go as green as possible. I just can not afford the expensive solar panels. Can you please help me? I am having major neck surgery at the Veterans Hospital in West Palm Beach soon so any help I would greatly apprecicate. Thank-you and keep up the good work. I am a big fan of yours.
