Social Bookmarking site that can import from RawSugar

I am looking for a social bookmarking service that can import bookmarks saved in

Rawsugar (with either direct access to them, or XML file import).

Alternatively, i would happy to know of a social bookmarking site that can extract bookmarks from RSS feeds just like the feeds rawsugar is creating.

wow, thats great!

2bad it can only export 50. is there a way to tell the API to export the next 50 or something? or just using the recent/popularity option?

well, this what went on so far:

delicious - claims it is importing, still don't show anything.

same goes for ma.gnolia

linkagogo - imports them well, clearning duplicates 2, but don't display hebrew well.

blinklist - imports ok, but cut the tags after each space (so a 2 word tag becomes 2 tags).

smarking - waiting to complete import

diigo - only import the htm version from delicious, so it fails 2 import the xml

blogmarks - claims 2 import, but nothing shows up in the list.

my yahoo bookmarks 2 - imports them all with no problem.

i still need to see if all of them kept all the tags and what they did with duplicates, but it looks good.

i'll keep u posted.

thank you.

Thanks for the info and keeping us informed.

BTW, how many bookmarks do you have? I've read there can be size restrictions depending services, thought I've never experienced it.

my main service now is rawsugar, and i have there 696 (many not nicely tag). and this is the biggest i have ever gotten (beside my browser of course).

since all the import options i've tried so far are quite limited, i've only manged to move around about 70 links 2 each of them.

if u want to write some review about this at ur blog, i can give u a link to my folders at the different services, so u can see how good (or bad) the handled them.

delicious fails to import the xml file. tried couple of times, with different tags - same thing. no speciall error msg - just that it failed.

magnolia didn't import anything, still saying it will.

smarking didn't import anything, but didn't even said it failed.

just now i saw they loaded one bookmark (i think the last one from a list of 50), and also sent me a msg saying there was a problem with the import, and trying to fix it.

they will tell me more when they solve it.

Jack,

Just to say I'm here following your progress...

Hum.. could you give us the link to your Rawsugar bookmarks? (In case you want to see mine, I've decided to add tag and user links to the SB list, as user link example I've put my own. It's displayed like this: [Tag/User] )

I'm not sure I have the courage to write about all this, I'll take time. How could one nicely and 'easy to understand-ebly' display this kind import-export information?

In case there's a social bookmark import-export project that has started, maybe if we wait till it gets settled will be easyer? ;)

PS: This is not an answer but a comment, a commenting system here would be nice for when Q&A's turns into discussions like here.

thanks for keeping an eye here.

sure u can see my links (it's also in my yedda profile if u missed it).

from the looks of ur blog, i didn't think writing a long post would frighten you :-)

i read about that import-export project, but from the looks of it, no1 (as the company who creates social bookmarks services) seems to care that much. and they only take care about del.icio.us, becuase it is widespread, which in my humble opinion, is not that great (and it has been up and running for 3 years if i remember correctly).

in the meanwhile, ma.gnolia, still didn't import my bookmarks, nor did they tell me why, and haven't got a chance to ask del.icio.us whats their problem with it.

myweb2 of yahoo is in a bad state of beta for me, since it doesn't show me the new bookmarks i import through rss, just says they are there. but hadn't had the chance to talk to them either.

have you tried  to use Rawsugar api to import their links elsewhere?

as for ur P.S. i think it's a gr8 idea, u should write them a feedback about it.

thanks again.
