Smithfield's Restaurants

What kind of Bar-B-Q are served in North Carolina? Has anyone has one ever tried having them in Smithfield's Restaurants in Mebane?

Everything I say can be fully substantiated by my own opinion.

I tried Smithfield's packaged pulled pork, which was east North Carolina style; tart with vinegar and a little spicy.  The tend to use the whole hog for the meat, so the meat is lighter in color.  I'm accustomed to Maryland Bar-B-Q, which doesn't have the tang, so I really didn't care for Smithfield's.

West North Carolina B-B-Q is sweeter and has a tomato base, but they use the darker, fattier pork shoulder meat.
