Small and Large Screen Actors Guilds

Is the decision to severe ties between the two guilds have anything to do with the strike?

If there were another strike today, does this mean it wouldn't be so unanimous?

Sort of.  There was an obvious pressure to get things resolved for the oscars.

Even with two unions, there would still be crossover support, due to many actors moving between small and large screens.  And plus, for one to go on strike, the other union wouldn't like to see the strikers then to flood the other working group.

So it really is a non-issue.
