I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody.

Sleepy Drivers

Do you think car manufactures should install a yawn detection system as standard equipment?

Yawning is a reaction to the brain not getting enough oxygen. What if you are just relaxed and not tired, What then? I say absolutely not!

No, but it does make me wonder what you have in mind if this were possible. Would the car suddenly stop, would a siren go off, would you install an electric shock system in the seat or shoot a stream of water into the driver's face? Technology have advanced to an extent all of this may be possible, but some things are best left to the driver and this is one.

Sometimes we put up walls not to keep people out, but to see who cares enough to break them down.

Absolutely not!  Yawns are not always an indicator of being tired.  Should we have another device in case we sneeze or cough, or take one hand off the wheel for a second? Or even take your eyes off the road to read a GPS or pick up a drink  Now if they could come up with a device that would stop texting, that would be great

Your creative mind is your ticket to greatnesss.

I read this question and I did a search on Goggle and found this article. After reading this I am split as to how I feel about it. I am all in favor of preventing accidents and I am sure with this device lives will be saved. On the other hand is this something that I want the government to make mandatory or have as an option? Talk about Big Brother watching! I don't remember what the arguments were for mandatory airbags were before they were installed, but I am sure people like Ralph Nader and those with opposing views would have a field day with this one.
