How will I prevent skin asthma....

My gaaadd is there a "skin Asthma".....or sensitive skin...what is another word for sensitive skin

hi.. yeah i have skin asthma too... I first had it when i was still in highschool... i went to a derma then the doc told me these w/c i folled and got me cured:
-use dove unscented soap or use baby soaps

-moisturize often...

-put lotion right after taking a bath... cetaphil or mild lotions only

-use facial moisturizers with spf's

-avoid foods like chicken, crabs, shrimps, egg (food alergens)

-DO NOT expose yourself into a direct sunlight (very important)... This can dry your skin w/c can make your skin ithcy again...

-dont scratch your skin when its itchy, put lotion instead....

I guess thats just it... That cured me but now I got it again.... I graduated college already. I first had it on 1998... now i have it again (2008).... yeah ten years after.... it usually attacks on summer, base on my own observation coz its too hot... plus i thought im already immuned to chicken and the food alergens that I ate them again... stupid me... so just try those tips... hope it might help...

i also have skin asthma since i was born, because its hereditary,my skin asthma are like black spots, everytime i get bitten by mosquito then i scratch it it turns black,i have them in my legs and arms only, because its more exposed, its really hard to have skin asthma.because of this i have lost my confidence in meeting new people. i went to derma several times. and they all tell me the same just like what apple_dy says. use hypo allergenic diet. foods that are not to be taken:

>chicken

>egg

>eggplant

>seafoods

>soy sauce, fish oil and other condiments

>citrus fruits(orange,mango,pineapple)

>use lotion: cetaphil, aveeno. use 2-3 times a day.

>avoid soaking in the water for too long. so dont take a bath too long!

>use lotion after every bath.

>when in swimming pool.use lotion afterwards.

always use hypo allergenic things (make up etc.

>perfumes are not allowed for the skin!

thats all you need to do. its really hard.ive only done it for 3 months so my skin asthma is still here. hope it helps you.please reply any comment.tnx!

Because skin asthma is an auto-immune disease, boosting your immunity is a good way to combat this condition. Take a daily multivitamin along with supplements, such as Omega 3, that are known to reduce inflammation. Exercise can help eliminate stress, which can be a skin asthma trigger for some people.
