Sinking feeling...

When i stand up for a period of time, i get a sinking feeling in my chest, get short of breath, arms and legs get weak, and i feel like i am going to collapse.  Is anyone experiencing the same symtoms?  It gets better if i lay down.  My blood sugar and blood pressure is ok. What is causing it?

It could be a number of things, minor or very serious.  Go to your doctor right away to rule out cardiac issues.  This is something you don't want to procrastinate about (from one of the best procrastinators).

158 thumbs up

Screw 'em if they can't take a joke

Do you drink plenty of fluids? dehydration can cause this and your blood pressure may not register a problem when it is taken with you sitting or laying down.  They need to do "tilts" and so you should see your doctor.  There are medicines that can help and/or he can refer you to someone who can help you.  Don't wait around and feel bad.  Take care and Good luck.
