Okay, I looked through the soundtrack for the movie and of course it wasn't listed. So then I went to Playlist.com and the only female version of Helter Skelter I could find is by a woman named Dana Fuchs.  I hope that's the version you're looking for b/c I can usually find almost any song on the 'net and I'm a little pissed I couldn't find yours:)  Hope I found the right one for ya, plez let me know!

Thanks Rena, for your reply.  When I watched the movie last night, I had the sound turned down low since my wife was sleeping.  I thought I heard the words, "Helter Skelter."  When I listened to it today, I realized the title was "Helpless" .. a Neil Young song.  On the credits it lists K.D. Lang as the singer, so off I went to Amazon.com and downloaded it for 99 cents.  Sorry I led you on a wild goose chase.  But all is well now.  Thanks again from Don Mack.

Don't be sorry for "leading me on a wild goose chase"!  That's one of the reasons I love this site:  Trying to find an answer for someone is a challenge I enjoy, and more importantly, you found what you were looking for.  That's all that matters, whether or not I helped.  Hope you enjoy your song!

I felt badly today that I could have mistaken the words by that much.  But it's nothing like when we were growing up and my younger brother asked me to listen to a song by the Drifters in which he thought the opening line was "This man digs malteds, so different and so new.  Unlike any other ....."  It turned out to be "This Magic Moment."  We were into milk shakes and malteds at the time, so maybe he had that on his mind especially one that would be "so different and so new."  LOL!

That is sooooooooo funny! "This man digs malteds"!  That reminds me of my little sister because she does that with so many songs, and she'll sing the wrong lyrics at the top of her lungs!  I think everybody mistakes the words of a song at least 1,000 times in their life; I know I'm guilty of it every now and then:)
