I'm not speaking from personal experience (as I am neither single or a parent :P), but as far as I can tell Single Mothers by Choice are increasingly acceptable in modern society, and are not regarded as any different than any other single mother and even mothers who are a part of a couple. You can find some more "on target" information (and seasoned single by choice mothers)
