Is the Single Parents Support site called Single Parents University a course you have to attend or is it online? I am going through a divorce and heard that it can help me and the children to survive.

Yes in most citys they offer support for single parents as do some churches also offer them. As every thing you read and hear is not always 100% correct but mingleing with outher singles is the best way i know of try a local singles group as outhers have had the same problems that you are gowing through.
