Singing at my ex-boyfriends school

hey! ok, well.....i was asked to sing at my ex-boyfriends school.(we broke up about a month ago) i wrote a song about him, and i am debating if i should sing it or not. he was a complete jerk to me, and the words to the song are a bit harsh. if i dont tell anyone that i wrote it about him, is that still considered mean? i want him to know how i am feeling, without me having to tell him straight out. is it too mean to sing about him?

I think it depends on how many people knew that you two had gone out and since it was only a month ago that you broke up, it would be pretty clear that the song is about him. If there are a lot of people at his school that know you and know about your relationship, I would advise you not to, but at the end of the day, it's still your decision.

I would recommend picking a song that reflects your feelings about the situation but is still a popular song.This way you can still get your point across and entertain the crowd at the same time.The crowd can be entertained by your version of the song and even sing along. Your ex will get the point that you are not happy about how things ended. Maybe Rhianna's "rehab" song could fit the bill. This is just my take on it.
