Stand up a glass next to a table and another glass on the table, right above it, but on it's side. With a yard stick, measure the distance from the top of the glass on the floor to the side of the glass that is on the table. Remembering that figure, now lay the glass down that is on the floor and stand up the glass that is on the table. Measure the distance from the side of the glass on the floor to the top of the glass on the table. Logic would say the measurements should be the same but they are not. Can someone explain why? I can't!!
