Silent Treatment

How do you handle silent treatment when it goes on for weeks.  Don't say therapy.  I mean what mind frame should I have so I don't get agitated by it.

Leona,  You kick the guy who is giving you the silent treatment like a football.  Then you book a cruise with a girlfriend, doll yourself up, and have fun.

Turn off the television and teach your children how to think.

You tell the person who's giving you the silent treatment that they can tell it to the door. And then you close it behind them!

Honey, if the man is such a baby that he can't discuss your relationship in a reasonable manner, then you need to get rid of him and find yourself a grown up.

Boot his butt on out of your life and start looking for the next one. Third time's the charm!

Hi leona, This treatment is really terrible when you live with someone. Usually the person who does it has emotional problems. It's definitely antagonistic and causes a hostel environment. Generally, a person who becomes "silent" for long periods [days, weeks, ect.,] of time, is also because they can't, or do not have the ability to express there feelings. I'll tell you this, it can escalate and cause an increase in intensity to where the person can become worse. Have someone deal with this person if you cannot break them from, what I consider, a habit that borders on mental abuse...before it gets out of control. Good luck!
