Shopping in London

Hi there,

I am travelling to London on Thursday 17 to Sunday 20th December with my family and we have two daughters 18 and 14 and I  would like to know where is the best place for shopping for teenagers and oldies together.  We are staying in Kensington.  Really looking forward to the break but worried about keeping everyone happy.  Are there any big stores or outlets that cater for all at a reasonable price.  We will probably visit the well known stores like Harrods etc but couldnt afford to buy much just something small in them.  But shopping will be a big part of our trip and we want if fun for everyone.

We also want to take in shows and that will be a feat if we can all agree as we have different tastes but all love music.  I am looking at websites for places of interest for them.  My husband and myself have been to London before and had a fantastic time but this will be a first time for our girls.

I have other family going also but we have all agreed to do our own thing and then meet up for fun things.

Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated and cant wait.

Mary

I am in the same situation with ages.  If you want to be focused on the kids, go to camden lock markets and look for the horse market area.  Keep walking around that section.  I also like http://www.visitspitalfields.com/ for Thursday Antique market.  www.portobelloroad.co.uk/ is obvious.  You must have been to this place.

graysantiques.com/ This is a nice place to visit and great area to discover unique London shopping.  Make sure you visit the river in basement.  Of course, this is my view.  You have really great shopping also in Mayfair as well as Brick Lane.  Watch buying mass produced items as they are available anywhere these days online.
