Seems like the LA County Sheriff's 'mistakenly' release of Nathan Hall who then just two days later murderers and sadly no newsworthiness and/or investigation followed up on the real 'story'. Why, if not journalistically non-profitable, then we fear political pressure? Political pressure, no news value, or something like that. A couple of good articles in the LA Times (Mistake Frees Slaying Suspect and Authorities Were Not Told About Suspect's Release) and then ... nothing. It looks like the government and the media dropped the ball.
