Set MySQL on Windows 2003 to accept Outside connections

How do I set MySQL to accept outside connections'

I am having trouble installing WordPress, and I've got a new site with one IP and on the same machine, MySQL is on another IP. From what I'm reading I may need to open MySQL to accept outside connections, and I'm just trying to find out how to do that. I cannot believe how hard it is to get an answer to such a simple question. Any help would be appreciated. wwright@wusf.org. WCW

Hi,

MySQL is always listening, what may be happening is that OS firewall may be active, maybe what you have to open is the port 3306 MySQL uses for listening.
