Service engine light indicates That the car's computer senses a problem with some of the components. The computer will, then, store the correspondent trouble code in its memory. I've found

this article to be very relevant, so you may read much more. Anyway, Have your pathfinder serviced asap.

There are a few possibilities. There isn't any way of knowing exactly what the problem is without checking the car. I would suggest going to your service shop and getting the information there after they actually look at your car.

In my nissan skyline the service engine light means that it's time to have someone take a look at the engine of my nissan skyline.  Pretty sure this is universal.

You only live once go for it

it can mean a lot of things bad o2 senser, mapsenser.oh to much to list. have sombody [autozone}  plug in an auto scaner to find out what the problem is for sure.

this can mean a number of things, if it hasnt changed the way the motor runs its minor, but if you live in a state that has state ins. it will have to be fixed by the next ins. in that case auto zone will scan it for free, get a read out and get back with us. good luck
