what does the service engine light indicate in my Nissan Pathfinder?

Service engine light indicates That the car's computer senses a problem with some of the components. The computer will, then, store the correspondent trouble code in its memory. I've found

this article to be very relevant, so you may read much more. Anyway, Have your pathfinder serviced asap.

There are a few possibilities. There isn't any way of knowing exactly what the problem is without checking the car. I would suggest going to your service shop and getting the information there after they actually look at your car.

In my

nissan skyline the service engine light means that it's time to have someone take a look at the engine of my nissan skyline.  Pretty sure this is universal.

it can mean a lot of things bad o2 senser,mapsenser.oh to much to list. have sombody [autozone}  plug in an auto scaner to find out what the problem is for sure.
