Should the International Tennis Federation suspend Serena Williams?  Has she gotten enough punishment already?

Have you ever noticed that anybody driving slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster than you is a maniac?

No. I think it would be a big mistake if the ITF suspended her especially now that she is ranked number 1 in the world. She is the type of player that you love her or can't stand her, but you have to admit that when she plays she gives it her all. I like her and was watching the match when the incident happened. She gets so involved when she plays that she can sometimes get carried away with her emotions. She later apologized and I truly believed she was sorry for what she did. What the ITF needs to do is ban grunting.

My comment is against the action of suspending her, all through she reacted in a very obsessive and abusive way in semi final of US Open. According to New York report she had been fined $10,500 for her aggressive reaction. But it is a fact that a tennis fan would love to watch her game. So i am against it.

no not at all

she shoull be suspended to uphold the gentlemen and womanly etiquette of the sport.  she cannot use a ghetto or spoiled child attitude on a public sports event. she says she has grown from this...that is such BS.  People grow better from punishment and being corrected with discipline...otherwise, more will do the same..look at the some of the Russian players they have attitudes most of the time. McEnroe was one of the worst verbally abusive men on the tour.

The WTA or ITF can suspend you for unknown substances in your system and possible gambling but not for berating or threatening an official... ehr body language was physically threatening....in the NBA or NFL , MLB are outta there...why not her?

C'mon...not even a question.. she deserves it big time.

I think they should. She deserved it.

A fine is sufficient. The question is how long must one pay for the same incident (and it should be said/done at the posing of the fine)??? How long was McEnroe fined/suspended?

Absolutely! She should be banned from the Australian Open. I hope the authorities step up and do what is right. I admire her tennis prowess but she has become less sporting than earlier in her career and way too big for her boots. Her arrogance is unattractive and the Aussie OPen will be a success without her.
