Ebay has always seemed to me as a complete mess, I prefer Amazon.

I use eBay to sell my used gadgets, usually 1-2 months after I buy them, when I realize they actually won't make my life so much better.

And then I buy more gadgets. And so the cycle continues :)

Not sure which one is better, I use eBay because I am familiar with it, and never bothered to make the switch to anything else - I guess it's because I am very happy with it, so there is no reason to switch...

I'll be watching this thread though, maybe I'll find a reason to switch!

Computers are the wave of the future.

I personally think craigslist.org is a good website to sell your stuff locally. You don't have to pay a listing fee (like you would on ebay.com) and you don't have to pay for shipping. Selling locally allows you the freedom to ask for the real amount that you're looking to get for your item.

It really depends on what your selling, but just a few things to know... Amazon, and Ebay are extremely competitive.... for every 1 item you have to sell, someone else has 10 of them for less... I started an ebay store and did well for the first few days then i didnt get anymore sales... I suggest setting up your own website store at your own domain and selling stuff right from there, it will cost you wayyyy less then ebay or anywhere else. I also suggest you get your domain from G.D.I because there program makes you money just for having a website with them, you can learn more here http://www.my.ws/jeffro75

If you have a business or are serious with selling online, it is ideal to open up a web store with your own domain and actually enter/test the ecommerce market.  Having your own site can be much more beneficial in the long run.  Many ebay sellers will also have their own ecommerce site as well.  There are many free online store software on the Internet and they are improving by the day, making it easier for anyone to setup shop.
