Does anyone have any great back to school ideas, tips, preparation ideas or anything that they do in their families specifically for getting grade school kids ready to go back to school?

Work hard or go home.

While I don't have children myself, I do have nieces and nephews that love getting ready for school by going to the library and reading as many books as they can. They love to be ahead of their classmates in the readings; it makes them feel extra smart.

I sugget you try   to check gently with your kids  how do they  feel  towards getting back to  school. Find out what are their  expectations  and  what are their fears. Give them the feeling that you understand them and try to answer there dilemas.
Then start  organizing  the sleeping hours.  Many children become day and night - day and night sleep. They should return to  the  routine of  the ordinary sleeping hours.
