School Uniform - yes or no?

Are school uniforms a good thing or are we stifling children's individuality?

Everything I say can be fully substantiated by my own opinion.

Recent generations are too caught up in style and materialistic expression.  We have heard many horrible stories of youngsters killing one another over a pair of shoes or a fancy jacket.  While it is wonderful when we can dress our children in clothes that will make them look "cool", we shouldn't promote a culture where kids who aren't wearing designer clothes are ostracized and ridiculed.

If school uniforms help keep the peace, so be it.  Maybe the uniformity will teach the kids to be true individuals, instead of slaves-to-fashion.

i think that school uniforms are stupid because it dont let people be their own self and show off their personalities. That is all style is doing

It is a GOOD thing, I will support them till I die. It puts a end to a contest to see who has the best and latest in clothes and you never need to wonder what you will wear tomorrow. I had 3 girls in school and it was a dream come true.

All schools should have them.

Well my thoughts as to school uniforms in some what way are better to comply with it levels the abstract in individuality. Allowing this simple conformation gives adaptation and a structure as a whole. creating the reality of a more plausable personality . fair equality reasonable effect of the structure as a whole . In away the effect persuades one to be more expressive in language and ethical mannerism. the individual then becomes more aware of the element of intelligence the ability to apply knowledge to manipulate one's environment or to think abstractly as measured by objective criteria . Rather than one is better than the other due to the style of clothes alone as a influential factor . Applies reason after all one can have an objective individuality to display of attire for the rest of they're life.
