Scared of being HIV infected

Hi I have been having a headache since the last 2 mths specialy on the left forehead and left eye . I also feel feverish but the fever does not show up on my thermometer when I check it. I also feel tired cause of these headaches most of the time. I keep on having Panadols and other pain killers which dont help me much. I had sex 3 months ago with a sex worker which was protected but I have been scared since I have fallen sick thinking that I might be infected with HIV . I have had all of my HIV test , ELISA , Western Blot and all of them were negative. I have still had a few other sexual encounters but all protected inter cources but not protected oral sometimes. Do you think it might be HIV in its initial stages which is not showing up in my blood still as all my other reports are normal? Pls advice.

Your direction, not your intention, determines your destination

sesaeseD If you have had unprotected sex, oral or otherwise, you have a right to be scared. Since you have already been tested and everything came out negative, you can presume HIV is not your problem. Have your eyes tested by a real good Optimologist(?). Could be you are in the early stages of getting a cataract. I have one on my right eye and it does the same thing pain wise. I would check this out first before anything else.Be careful all the time when it comes to sex and transmitted deseases.

Thanks for ur reply mate . I have been to 2 diff Eye Specialist and they havent mentioned to me of any cataract. They have confirmed that my eyes are fine except for some Kerotoconus with my eyes which is in the early stages and I should not worry abt it much at the moment. Well can one possibly get HIV with unprotected oral or blow jobs? What other sexually transmitted diseases could I get ? Is getting Headaches and feeling feverish but not actuall fever a symptom of HIV ?

No not the signs of HIV but never have unprotected sex. Sounds kind of like migraines just have it checked from your doc. I'm sure you will be fine.

Hi one last question. The other day I read about Optic Neuritis on the internet and that HIV is one of the Major causes of Optic Neuritis. My symptoms atmoment prompt me that I might have Optic Neurits cause of my Dim vision and headaches . I have been proved HIV Negative 6 times within 3 months of my exposure and I have even done my ELISA Test which was negative. As u know that I had protected sex but unprotected Oral sex . Do u reckon I still stand a chance of bein infected with HIV ?

Look up sexual transmitted deseases. There are so many and they will also have the symptoms. Since you have have had sexual deseases before (too many) you should have learned something by now, unless you don't care about living a long and healthy life. As a politician said, " change". If you think about it, you are probably worring yourself and your imigination too much. Please let me know if you find a solution to your problem.

By the way, how old are you? Seems to me you are old enough to ask good questions, but you already know alot of the answers yourself. Good luck and keep your pants up for a while until you can figure out if its worth all the risks you are taking.

I really wish I could put your mind at ease- and please stop looking up every symptom you may have there are so many explanations on the internet for so many things that you will think you have all of  them. Stop worrying , But always protect yourself. I would suggest you make an appointment with your doctor and tell him all of your fears. Let me know how you are. Sherry

  Live ,laugh,love,

first of all you cannot presume because you had a test three months ago that you are HIV negative....there are window periods in which the virus does not show up in the test...if you are still worried get tested again and if you are going to have multiple partners you will need to be tested regulary for not only HIV but hepB, and C which is easier to catch then HIV...also the other sexually transmitted disease women and men forget about like chlamydia, human pappiloma or the older scourges of mankind that still plague us Gonnorea and Syphilis   These are very dangerous and some can be caught through oral sex as well...But people have been so worried about HIV they forgot about they others and have fallen prey to them in the MLLIONS!!!  PS keep up regular doc visits ,sleep only with people who have also been tested for a host of illness's and protect yourself in all your orifices until you find a stable partner...
