Satalite positioning

on virtual earth,mapquest or other similar web map programs I can zoom in so close that I can see my own car perfectly in my driveway. So I wondered if I could find osama bin ladden and went over to search in iran,iraq,afganistan and such. Then I discovered that when these tools r used over there you can't get anywhere close to the ground without blurring out. Why?

generally what is happening is there are employees of these mapping companies driving around in  specially set up vans with 360 degree cameras. since the areas you are looking for are at war or more probrably very rural, they have yet to recieve this attention
