Sarah Palin's Impact

In his first post-election interview, John McCain said he "couldn't be happier" with his choice of running mate Sarah Palin. How do you think she affected the election -- and what lies ahead for her?

Sarah Palin was unknown to the world outside Alaska as far as I'm concerned.  The McCain campaign began to look like a circus in a way with the Obama bashing and the unlearned things Palin would say regarding real issues the whole world is going through right now.  McCain would have better luck if he had picked a better running mate altogether.  No harm intended for Palin but she clearly didn't have what it takes to be president, let alone vice-president!

Why does everyone focus on the fact she spent 150K on clothes ..who cares ? They should be focusing on the fact that she is just an idiot, plain and simple and also becuse of her obvious limited intelligence, not qualified for VP or any other government office in my opinion. She will crash and burn in time in time, just wait.

I think Sarah Palin was a breath of fresh air she is smart , likable  and vibrent, and was a good pick for vp. We hasd a old man who was very competet to lead the country and we picked a emty suite. With any luck she should be the first female president of this once great United States. 2012

Although I voted for Obama, I do think McCain is a classy person and politician and rejected the easy [and honest] comments about "Anchor" Palin. If she were smart [but she is not], she would stay among the Canucks in Alaska where her lack of intelligence and common sense will hardly be noticed.

And for that earlier comment ... the name is Quayle ... although the analogy is not bad.

Hey Frank,

No doubt why you think she is "smart". How about using the spell check at the bottom of page ... you are disclosing why you think she is smart - compared to you, she probably is!

I voted for Sarah Palin, NOT John McCain! John McCain went out of his way to tell conservatives that he DID NOT WANT OR NEED US, and he got EXACTLY what he deserved.  Why should I defend a COWARD who wouldn't defend himself??? Why should I have supported a RINO (Republican In Name Only) when he was more comfortable walking to the other side of the aisle to get support rather than find it on his side of the aisle???  The ONLY saving grace to his whole innept, chicken sh*t campaign WAS Sarah Palin!

That coward Basta*rd couldn't even come to her defense when his staff started trashing her!!!  He threw plenty of people under the bush that supported his campaign and it shows the class and character of the man when he let HIS OWN STAFF leak the lies and slander about Gov. Palin.

Are you kidding me? Initially, Sarah Palin generated interest because American Women were interested in representation in the absence of Hillary Clinton. Obviously, the "goal" of the Republican party was to try to capture that vote by nominating Sarah Palin. And also obviously, American women were far too smart to be fooled. The interest in Sarah Palin, that was "perceived" by the Republican party and the American media, was undoubtedly and wholeheartedly, abject HORROR that a woman, so clearly unqulaified, and uneducated, (and the list goes on and on) could be chosen to represent the women of this country. The Republican party and the media should be ashamed of themselves! It's nice to hear that Mccain and the rest of them "couldn't be happier" with their selection, because that secures the future, 2012! Thank YOU John Mccain!
