Sarah Palin's Impact

In his first post-election interview, John McCain said he "couldn't be happier" with his choice of running mate Sarah Palin. How do you think she affected the election -- and what lies ahead for her?

The public only got to know her as Fey created her, not as Palin.  Again, the media is the fault.  here they are trying to knock Palin when O'Bama is greener than Palin is,  O'Bama is known to have lied about his birth certificate, family history where palin has been honest,  Palin shows true American patriotism where O'Bama can't even sing out national Anthem or wear an American flag pin.  She's 10 times what O'Bama is.

And Biden is just sounds like sa used car salesman.

Palin is worse than Quayle since she can "con" people. People realized his limitations - she is good at hiding hers. With her "good ole Joe"  personality - total lack of professionism, can you just imagine her serving a a diplomat in a foreign country? McCain threw the election away with his choice of her. He was counting on her getting some of Hilary's votes. I really did want McCain to win and although I am a woman, I just couldn't go with Palin.

The thought of this woman possibly being President scared me.  She's a sore loser.

I think she provided a spark for a moribund campaign and an aging politician who lacked the spark and charisma of younger days.

I think she created a lot of additional interest in the election.

I doubt because of Alaska's remote geography that she will play a major part in either the Republican party or national politics.

Sarah Palin excited the far right, which was fine as VP, as long as McCain could reach out to the moderate republicans and moderate undecided.  HOWEVER, Palin, while demonstrating exceptional political skills, knows NOTHING about the sort of issues that are essential for one who seeks national leadership.  She hasn't even thought about the Iraq War?  Those were HER words.  How can someone be a governor, with her state's guard federalized, with a son of military age, and she hasn't THOUGHT about it????  If she doesn't use the next four years to do A LOT of indepth studying on issues and political structures,  international relations, and world history, in four years she will be an ambitious, skillful "politician" in the most negative sense of the word.  There's nothing wrong with ambition; everyone who seeks high office has it.  But without knowledge and thought, it is highly destructive...to her and those whom she would lead.

I can't understand how anyone can support her. Her personal conduct before her becoming the VP nominee is questionable as far as her ethics and abuse of power while mayor and then Govenor of Alaska. (Bridge to nowhere) Her church laying of hands, and speaking in tongues is of course her choice.  I'm sure some of her church connections are no better than Obamas' the only difference Obamas' was   caught on videotape. Obama at least spoke out against his former preacher. She was (is) not informed on major policy.  I don't want someone in the 2nd seat a breath away from the #1 seat of power.  Although on the campaign she was polished thanks to $150,000 wardrobe (not just for her but the entire family) RIDICULOUS! Her husband works for big oil and has been involved with having Alaska cecede from the United States of America....not someone I would want as the 1st dude of America. He has cursed us, advocated against us and fought hard to break off Alaska from the rest of the United States.  In my opinion the wonderlust of her will be the same as Joe the plumber shortlived and in need of repair.  I do however applaud John Mccain for choosing a woman it just was the wrong women.
