Why Does Sarah Palin Scare The Bejesus Out Of Washington?

Sarah Palin is anything but a quitter. Why should a woman who has stood up to Democrats and Republicans alike who were not performing ethically not have the ability to change the direction of her life?

She certainly owes no allegiance to the Republican party that has done everything they can to besmirch her and her family as much the Democrats have.

If it had not been for Sarah Palin, McCain would have been out of sight a week after the convention! And yet, the Republicans have found a way to pin their ineptness on her for a poorly run campaign!

And, to this day, they still have not gotten the message from the American people as to the direction, supporters of the party want it to go!

Sarah Palin scares the bejesus out of both political parties. You can measure the Democrats fear by the amount of vitriol that is thrown at her to this day by their minions.

Can anyone remember who the loosing vice-presidential candidates were the last 20 years? How much press was written about them(that they did not promote themselves) after their loss? Sarah Palin had more press since Friday than all of them combined!

The Republicans fear is far more camofluged. Their fear, the same as the Democrats, is not that she will run for president in 2012, but that she will now ignite the fires of the American public for alternative choices in 2010,2012. She will support people that who want to do the will of the American people. She at no time, said they would be Republicans. Why should she?

Sarah Palin represents the rising American will to take back control of this country from the "professional politicians" in Washington who have brought this country to it's knees with their fiscal irresponsibility, and cavalier attitudes(Waxman bringing in a speed reader to read bills) after Americans found out Congress was voting on bills they don't even read prior to the vote. I guess he thought that was amusing! We are now back to being a "taxation without representation" country!

An alternative choice in 2010,2012 does not have to have a huge landslide victory to make a major impact. Just enough seats in the Senate and Congress to make control of both houses by either party an impossibility.

So, here is my advice to Sarah Palin (not that she needs it ).

Build on the following platform:

Pro Life

Contract with American People For Fiscal Responsibility.

Executive Order (if necessary, for Line Item Veto on budget)

Self Reliant Energy (Drilling domestically for oil and natural gas, while expanding, nuclear, wind and solar alternatives.)

Repeal of all political"czars" who do not answer to, or are regulated by the Congress.

The  immediate investigation of Alan Greenspan and he Federal Reserve.         Possible dissolution of The Federal Reserve.

Reduction in corporate tax rates.

Implementation of a "Fair Tax"

Strengthening of our military.

Common sense control of illegal immigration into the United States.

Term limits for Congress and Senate(8 years). (No ex senator or congressman allowed to become lobbyist after serving)

Limit lobbyists meeting with Congressman and Senators to public televised meetings only!

Tort Reform for frivolous litigation. (looser pays).

Health care reform based on state responsibility for coverage with some federal assistance for those currently uncovered.

No negotiations with terrorists states.

Support of counties who are striving for REAL democracy, wherever they are!

These things are what politicians in Washington FEAR.

So, Democrats and Republicans be AFRAID, be very, very AFRAID!

You have scored an X!!  That is exactly why both parties are scared to death of Sarah.   Now if she would declare herself an Independant and support candidates in the 2010 elections who most closely reflect her political positions, and then do the same for candidates in the 2012 elections while she runs for president - - she would take office with a legislature capable of working in a bi-tri partisan way.  I am sick and tired of the current system and the entrenched "good ol' boy" legislature.  Palin could prove herself a true reformer and maverick by a move such as this.  This is what the country needs so badly.  Recent choices in candidates gives us no choice but the lesser of two evils.   What ever happened to representing the majority view?  Once a candidate is elected (regardles of party) they are taken aside in DC and "educated".  Tow the party line or you won't get party support and you can look forward to one term.  Lobbyists are just what the name implies, someone who represents a special interest group - not the majority of the American people.  Lobbyists should be outlawed, forcing congressional members to think for themselves and represent the majority of their constituents.  What a revolutionary idea!

By the way, Palin has taken one huge step in the right direction already.  My understanding is that Exxon and a Canadian construction outfit that specializes in the construction of pipelines are going to build that gas pipeline from Prudho Bay to the US border.  The United States has more natural gas than the rest of the world combined.  In addition, they now have a way of making 18 wheelers capable of using the gas.  How many billions of dollars would no longer go overseas to fund our enemies when we no longer need their oil?  Put that back in our budget, as well as the associated jobs back in the economy and watch the economy grow, unemployment fall.  Energy costs fall, car companies back in business, conversion jobs available - goodby budget deficit.  Hello Social Security, more funding for healthcare and education.  YES BE VERY, VERY AFRAID YOU DO NOTHING POLITICIANS

Ms. Palin Has serious issues, Education is 1, and her having the thought of Abortion is up to her, but she Really needs to check herself and the Paparazzi & republicans can throw everything at Brittney smears sister, but when it come to fakelins daughter, its not to be discussed, now that not rite, when I was 17yo I had a child and placed it for adoption as having a mother & father was important to me. I later married had 2 ruptured Ectopic pregnancies with internal Hemorrhage & Doctors called me a liar until I was within an inch of my life, I was successful in 1 son after then was diagnosed with invasive Female Cancer.  Palin has severe issues so she needs to stick to the rules of her Party or change.  And if Palin EVER becomes President I'm moving to another country safe or not, my son, husband and I would be safer.  Palin seriously did not pay attention in School and if her daughter really thought he would marry her it would only be because of the press. and you cant tell me the Bush daughters did not have sex in the White House, so that's what Palins ex-boyfriend wanted, No way was he gonna marry her unless the White house was involved, but the ghost of Lincoln was there. A number 1, David Letterman should have not apologized, Palin just Whinned soooo much he had to shut her up some how. Thats included too she Whined throughout the Elections, and If I would have had to listen to that for 4 years, I would also move out of the U.S.

Your education is sadly lacking as demonstrated by your incoherent rambling.  Why don't you leave the US now and avoid the small exodus?  I would guess by your sentence structure, you are not an American anyway, so check your visa (if you have one)  and go home.  Your country is missing their village idiot.

Sarah Palin scares Washington because she represents Conservatism in it's purest form.  She's not afraid to express her faith in God.  She represents traditional values and accountability.  She represents Pro-Life and the value of a family structure.

Liberals have worked so hard to remove accountability from the daily structure.  They label every disorder a disease.  If you're a pedophile, you have a disease.  If you smoke crack, snort cocaine or smoke weed, you have a disease.  If you are an alcoholic and beat your spouse, you have a disease.

She represents the notion that "Hard Work" ... "Character" ... "Integrity" ... "Morals" ... "Values" ... "Principles" .... will payoff in the long run.

She represents the end of "The Fear Of Self Reliance" and the end of Irresponsibility.

Sarah Palin is the All American Woman.  She scares the feminists because she's popular and she is against abortion.  She represents a Mother that can take care of her family, as well as provide for her family.

Sarah Palin scares Washington because she represents the "Do It Yourself" generation.  She doesn't rely on government assistance to live.  She doesn't put her hand out first.  She makes the effort first instead.

Sarah Palin is a threat to Liberalism ... She has my vote !!!  I hope she runs for President.

MarineReconDad ... I certainly hope you are correct.  I think it's about time for a "true" Conervative party to emerge.  The Republican Party has lost it's way for sure.

This 3rd party will certainly need $$$ to back it and help it gain momentum.  It might take figures such as Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Newt Gingrich, Sarah Palin, Oliver North and other crowd drawing Conservatives to get a 3rd option rolling.

But Could You Just Imagine What The Liberal Media Would Do ???

God Bless ... Semper Fi

Faces of loan modification: Christine...

Filed under: Banks , Budgets , Credit , Real Estate , Recession How well is the government's loan modification working? WalletPop's four-part special report continues with profiles of some of those trying to get help. To read the overview, click here . Christine Attalla is among the lucky. The suburban Chicago homeowner not only got a temporary loan modification, but she's on track to convert it to a long-term adjustment before Christmas. She even calls herself lucky, although when she does there's a quiver in her voice. That's because in the process, her credit took a beating. For a solo entrepreneur -- Attalla, 38 and divorced, runs her own public relations company -- poor credit is a serious problem. It all began last spring, when Attalla realized the economic downturn was making it increasingly difficult for her to manage her $3,000-a-month payment on her Bolingbrook home. And she was pregnant, so she knew she'd have less earning power later in the year. Attalla heard from a friend about the modification program, applied in April through her lender, CitiMortgage, and waited. She was approved for a three-month trial reduction -- for June, July and August -- which cut her monthly payments in half. If she kept current, she said, she would qualify for a permanent modification that started with a 2% interest rate and tiered up after a decade. So far, so good.Continue reading Faces of loan modification: Christine Attalla, Bolingbrook, Ill. Extreme home makeover, Part V: $55,000...

Filed under: Budgets , Debt , Home , Real Estate This is the last of a five-part series about how the writer and her husband, Charlie, tackled a major overhaul of their home and the pitfalls they faced along the way. To read the first installment click here . The workers are gone, the dumpster was picked up, and we are touching up the stain and paint. Now that things are finished, we are so glad that we put in the quality finishes and the extra touches we wanted. The total cost was around $55,000 -- twice as much as we had originally planned. The investment is definitely worth it. Now we have new plumbing throughout the house, updated electrical, refinished floors, and a state-of-the-art kitchen -- all upgrades that are bound to boost the value of our home if we ever decide to sell. Filed under: Budgets , Home , Real Estate , Wealth , Recession This is the fourth part of a five-part series about how the writer and her husband, Charlie, tackled a major overhaul of their home and the pitfalls they faced along the way. To read the first installment click here . We continue to eat dust and stumble through piles of stuff. In spite of the inconveniences, I was starting to feel positive about the progress -- that is, until a large semi-truck pulled up to deliver the dome that goes over the tub. Rick, our contractor, and my husband soon discovered the dome weighed close to 400 pounds. With daggers in their eyes, they asked, "And just how are we suppose to get this thing out?" Fortunately. I remembered reading on the website that the dome was actually quite light -- it was the packing that was so heavy. Grumbling and swearing under their breath, they emerged about 15 minutes later with a fiberglass dome to be temporarily stored in the living room. Tom's Take: It always makes sense to add the cost of a few visits with your chiropractor to every home improvement budget. IRS' e-file program gaining users

Filed under: Tax , Taxes-income-tax-basics , Taxes-advice Chances are, you filed your federal taxes electronically this year. According to the IRS, about two out of every three individual taxpayers elected to e-file in 2009 , up almost 6% from returns filed electronically in 2008. That works out to just a few million returns shy of 100 million individual returns, or 67% of tax returns. It's a pretty incredible increase for the IRS e-file program which began just more than 20 years ago. In 1986, the first year of the program, just 25,000 refund-only returns were accepted in three locations, less than 1% of the returns filed in 2009. WalletPop's four-part special report continues with profiles of some of those trying to get help. To read the overview, click here . Kathy Partak went into loan modification armed with the powerful combination of knowledge and motivation. She had worked in the mortgage business, so she knew her rights and the right vocabulary to use. And she had a step-rate loan that was about to step up dramatically. Add to that an on-the-job shoulder injury that left her unemployed and Partak figured she was a perfect candidate for modifying the loan on her three-bedroom home in Auburn, Calif. But Chase Manhattan Bank denied her a modification, Partak said, telling her, "Unemployment is not a permanent hardship." "Hopefully not!" said Partak, 42. Filed under: Budgets , Home , Real Estate , Buyer Beware This is the third part of a five-part series about how the writer and her husband, Charlie, tackled a major overhaul of their home and the pitfalls they faced along the way. To read the first installment click here . The situation is deteriorating fast. A large part of the problem is our fault, we're falling victim to an all-too-common disorder in the industry called project creep. It works like this: If we are going to put in a new hallway floor, why not rip up the carpet upstairs and do all the floors there, too? And if we are going to do the upstairs, then it only make sense to do the downstairs as well. Since we got such a good deal on the granite, why don't we put new counter tops in the kitchen? For that matter, why not get new appliances? After all, the plumber and electrician are already here. They can get things hooked up. Don't you think the whole thing will look lousy if we don't re-tile the kitchen back splash? Why not, it already has a hole in it from the plumber. And so on... Filed under: Banks , Real Estate , Recession , Mortgages , Refinancing How well is the government's loan modification working? WalletPop's four-part special report continues with profiles of some of those trying to get help. To read the overview, click here . Public relations consultant Mark Bonacorso faced the good and bad news of divorce with resolve. The good: he got the 3,500-square-foot adobe in northwest Tucson. The bad: he also got the first and second mortgages and the $2,700-a-month payments. He wanted to make it work, especially since his home was worth less than he owed. At first, with business strong at his firm, Media Ink, this seemed feasible. Then, as the recession slowed work, forcing him to lay off his two employees in March, those payments became daunting. Bonacorso was not looking for Bank of America, his lender, to cut his principal. He called hoping to reduce his monthly payments by combining his first and second mortgages, lowering their interest rates -- now 5.875% on his first; 7.625% on his second -- and extending the loan's term from 30 years to at least 40.Continue reading Faces of loan modification: Mark Bonacorso, Tucson, Ariz. Steer clear of auto warranty deals:...

Filed under: Transportation , Fraud , Consumer Ally Extended warranties of all sorts have always been a dicey proposition, but when it comes to extended auto warranties many don't even appear to be warranties at all. Missouri Attorney General Chris Koster took aim at the industry this week by suing six companies that market the so-called warranties and warning the public that what is being pitched isn't what you end up with. He said the industry is "rife with fraud." Koster said what consumers are actually buying into are limited "service contracts" or "automotive additives" deals rather than a traditional warranty. That was done to avoid consumer protections otherwise afforded by law, he said in a news release. The contracts are filled with catches. Among them: A 30 to 90 day (or 1,000 miles) timeframe when you can't make a claim. Promotion of a 7-year, 100,000 miles warranty extension that doesn't note coverage is limited to the declining value of the car. (In other words, Koster said, "The coverage may soon be less than the price paid by the consumer for the contact). Sending an additive to be put into your car immediately to activate coverage without noting that its use negates the ability to cancel.
