Samsung DynaFlat HDTV has the words "Not Available" blinking on the screen? Help!

why is my Samsung DynaFlat HDTV blinking "Not Available" in red? We don't even have it hooked up to satellite, and we are trying to run a DVD player through it. We don't have the remote to it, either. How do we get the blinking words off the screen? Thanks!!!

This may not help but when we have a DVR with our TV, and to play a DVD we have to change the channel on the television.  We keep the DVD player on all the time. (No biggy)  For us, the 'TV' mode is 4.  Then it will play the DVD.  Right now it's on 'connection 1 which is channel 4, which will not show DVDs.  You also could have accidently hit a number on your remote and just needs the right number again.  (Is it universal that it's either 3 or 4?
