Sales Tax Questions

I am having a party and preparing the food myself. I am hiring servers to help with the serving of the food I prepared and a Bartender to serve the alcohol that I am providing. I am hiring the servers & bartender from a catering company. They are charging me sales tax for the hiring of the servers & bartender who will be serving the items I purchased. Can they charge me sales tax on service help?

311 thumbs up

Karma's a b*tch.

I believe they can but try calling around to different catering companies to see what their policy is regarding this.
